All of my photos were shot in black and white. They also didn't follow the rule of thirds. decided not to follow photography norms and put my own twist on the gordon parks inspired work. I made sure there was a lot of contrast in my photos to make them more visually pleasing.

All of my Photos were taken I'm my kitchen at home. I decided to utilize the same light source for all of my photos to ensure the art looks consistent. I photographed ordinary flood and food accessories and staged them in a way that made them visually pleasing.
In this photo I photographed several rooms in my house and edited them according to contrast. The warmer objects being in the right hand side and the cooler, neutral objects being on the left. I decided to leave the photo in the bottom lefthand corner very green to help symbolize time passing. One of the photos shows my grandpa, brother, and I 12 years ago. The other photo being more recent, showing change over time. I also incorporated many clocks to strengthen the theme of the photo of how much can change over time.
My theme was obstacles and I decided to tackle it head on by photographing man made and natural obstacles that can detour ones way or keep them out all together.I decided to utilize saturation in my images to give it a more interesting feel warmer. I shot in rainy weather so there wasn't very much light in some of the photos. The saturation played a key role to bring in the color since natural color from the sun was not available. Nature is one natural obstacle that nobody has control over compared to man made where the obstacle is constructed because of someones choice.
I decided to have a mix of colored and black and white photos. On the colored photos i really wanted to emphasise the bright lighting compred to the black and white photos that were taken in gloomy weather. I decided to use alot of photos from school becasue it is harder to make something visually pleasing in a location that nobody likes. I took it as a challenge to make those uninterested; interested. All my photos were taken with either my iPhone or my drone. I chose to photograph people unexpectedly, which doesn't give the subjects a chance to pose. It shows more natural body language and nothing looks staged.
